Prayer to begin your day
Good morning Father God. Good morning Lord Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit.
This is the day that You have made Lord. Your mercies are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. I will praise You and thank You!
Heavenly Father, according to Your word, I present my body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in Your sight, which is but my reasonable service. Direct my path.
Now Father, I stand firm in my faith, with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. I take the shield of faith with which I will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
According to Your Word, You will be my rearguard, my refuge, my fortress and my strength. Now Father I have prayed for this protection and I praise You for the armour that You have provided for me to dress in today. I am completely covered in the righteousness of Christ my Saviour, by His shed blood on the cross. Praise the name of Jesus!
Upon Jesus I build my life, my marriage and my family. I pray protection over each one and know that the gates of hell cannot prevail against them.
Oh Lord, You are my Shepherd, I shall not want. You make me to lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside the still waters and You restore my soul. Praise Your name forever!
You supply all my needs according to Your riches in Glory and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! I cast all my cares on You, for You promise to care for me. I praise You for health, strength and life abundant.
The joy of the Lord is my strength. Find in me a heart willing to obey, to submit, to listen, to forgive and seek forgiveness and to wait! To love You with all of my heart, soul and mind and to love my neighbour as myself! Find me Christ-like in all I say and do.
Father, I have prayed this prayer today, according to Your Word. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit! Now Father I bring before your throne of Grace the following concerns of my heart ......................................................
I praise Your Holy Name and pray all these things in the name of Jesus .... AMEN.
